Description
Ananda Marga Gurukula is an international educational network of schools and institutes engaged in teaching, research and service. It is based on the holistic philosophy of Neohumanism which stands for “the practice of love for all creation including plants, animals and the inanimate world” as propounded by philosopher-seer Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar.
Background
AM Gurukula was founded in September 1990 by Shrii P. R. Sarkar both as a university in the making and also as the Board of Education of NHE schools around the world. In the latter capacity, AM Gurukula sets standards and supports schools in raising their standards. AM Gurukula to date has held many international Gurukula Conferences starting in 1991, has published the bi-yearly newsletter/journal Gurukula Network since 1995, created Standards for NHE Schools, and has produced many publications and offers NHE Teacher Education.
