This essence or Joy is more that an attribute but is, in fact, part of a larger cosmic Identity. Joy is the expression of Supreme Consciousness, the manifestation of the higher Cosmic Self.
Neohumanism propounds that this Inner Joy directly impacts our thoughts and actions. Its positive influence as evidenced through our thoughts, words and deeds corresponds to our attunement to that Inner Joyful Source. Greater awareness and external practice of the infinite attributes of Joy, Love, Beauty, and Truth can be encouraged at a very early age. Nurturing this internal flow of Divine consciousness by developing the practice of acts of goodness results in the expressive expansion of Joy and introduces true spirituality into the physical universe. Embracing this external practice of caring, benevolence, and unselfishness not only expands the spiritual potential and happiness of the individual but also profoundly affects the spiritual expansion and evolution of the physical world.
In Neohumanism human beings are dedicated to the maintenance of harmony with nature, animals, plants and the inanimate world not only on the basis of spiritual kinship but also as personal extensions of ourselves. Through the implementation and utilization of Neohumanist methodologies and techniques, individual and collective transformation is possible. The understanding, practice, and daily exchange of Joy, Love, Life and Beauty within ones self and amongst living beings in the created world can be referred to as the Ecology of Joy.
