
Rutger Tamminga has been active in the Neohumanist Education movement for over forty years, mainly in Africa and Asia, and continues to share his passion for giving children a holistic education.
In his words “An education that includes the heart is the only way forward to building a better world, where there is more consideration for nature, and fellow human beings”. To practically bring about such a transformation he has been promoting storytelling in schools, yoga for kids and environmental education programs. Recently he has added a program for teenagers, called Think of Something Beautiful.
Currently he is the co-director of the Juei-Ai Gurukul Center in Taichung, Taiwan where he is involved in Yoga and meditation programs.
