I bring over 15 years of experience in child protection, human trafficking prevention, trauma healing, and community development, focusing on marginalized populations in conflict zones and refugee settings. I hold a Master’s Degree in Child Development from Haifa University, Israel, which has enriched my understanding and expertise in addressing the needs of vulnerable children.
Between 2007 and 2011, I worked as an investigative and rescue agent for human trafficking cases with the Thai Government’s Multi-Disciplinary Team, TRAFCORD, ZOE International Foundation, and other organizations. I played a critical role in the aftercare, trauma healing, and court preparation for rescued victims, especially those from Burma. My responsibilities included counseling, mentoring, and advocating for justice, as well as designing child protection policies and community awareness programs.
In response to the escalating conflict in Kachin State in 2011, I returned home to serve internally displaced communities. My focus shifted to counseling, developing child development resources, and translating materials for trauma healing, child rights, and family strengthening programs. I lectured on child protection and peace at Kachin theological colleges and worked with the Kachin Baptist Convention to address drug prevention and family support initiatives.
Since 2021, I have volunteered as a psychosocial support mentor for women on the frontlines of the resistance movement in Kachin and Shan states. My work emphasizes emotional well-being, safety, and coordination among mental health providers, addressing the urgent psychosocial needs of survivors in conflict zones.
