Femilya Putri

Femilya Putri was born to a Muslim family in a small village near
Mount Kerinci in rural Sumatra, Indonesia. She started working with
AMURT Indonesia as a junior staff member in 2011, soon after
graduation. Now the Project Director of AMURT Indonesia, Femilya’s
Master’s Degree in Management, on top of her inborn talent in project
management, enables her to competently oversee projects covering
up to 14 towns/districts across the Indonesian archipelago. Over the
years, direct beneficiaries impacted by AMURT Indonesia’s teacher
training projects have reached an estimated 2,000 teachers and
60,000 children in early childhood and lower primary schools.
Beyond teacher training, AMURT Indonesia’s recent projects focus on
developing a network of teacher training facilitators. Based on a
hybrid online-onsite model, the goal is to promote child-centred
education across the less developed regions of Indonesia, with
emphasis on the rights of the child to provision, protection and
participation. In collaboration with the local education departments
and local facilitators in each region, Femilya actively engages with
multiple stakeholders in order to maximize synergistic support and
official recognition from the Indonesian Ministry of Primary and
Secondary Education to promote long-term sustainability and
continuing progress for the benefit of the little children of Indonesia.
